Fred Wagner and Sterling West founded Helicopter Marketing Associates, LLC (HMA) in October 2005. Based in Colleyville, Texas, and with international offices in South Africa and Latin America, HMA offers nearly four decades of sales, maintenance, and customization experience for all major turbine helicopter models. Our full range of helicopter-related services includes expert helicopter appraisals and onsite evaluations, professional brokering and acquisitions, and in-depth consultations for such logistical services as importing/exporting, shipping, customizing, and maintaining helicopters.


Today, under their leadership, HMA provides helicopter sales expertise for all major turbine helicopter models. The company provides a full range of services to include, helicopter brokering and acquisitions, helicopter appraisals and on site evaluations, and consulting for logistical services such as exporting, shipping of helicopters, customizing and maintenance support.

Invaluable Expert Experience

Fred and Sterling’s 60-plus years’ of combined experience in the global helicopter industry began with each man’s honorable service in the U.S. Army as graduates of the U.S. Army Aviation School and years piloting helicopters. From there, each gained extensive, first-hand experience in all facets of the industry, from sales to operating helicopter maintenance and completion facilities to managing flight departments. In 1986, Fred founded HAS Marketing and HAS Corporation, both now well-known and well-respected industry companies where Sterling served as Chief Pilot. Together, Fred and Sterling have overseen more than 500 customizations of new helicopters, and have represented helicopter buyers and sellers in more than 500 transactions in 63 countries.
